While quarantined in Spain during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mexican writer Jorge F. Hernández shared a flash fiction daily from 17 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 on the social media channels of the Instituto de México en España. The project, titled Un cuentínimo para la cuarentena, disseminated the stories —narrated by the author— on the institute's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. The collection Cuentínimos para la cuarentena was later published in Mexico by E1 Ediciones (2023).
